This position is grant/specially funded, and the grant’s funding will end effective June 2029. This means that at that time, the position will be laid off pursuant to Education Code section 45117 to coincide with the conclusion of the grant’s funding.
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under minimal supervision of an assigned administrator, provide, facilitate, implement, and coordinate a wide variety of specialized and highly responsible activities in support of the community school programs. This school site-based work will involve expanding school-level understanding of community schools vision and framework, handle critical relationships with community partners, programs, and services; and collaborate with site administrators and staff to ensure that parents, students, and the community have access to District programs. Collect, analyze, monitor, and leverage relevant data, including delivering data presentations at school and District level meetings to ensure alignment, expansion, and improvement of school-based services; organize, staff, and oversee community representative committees to identify priorities and goals of the school site community school program; and coordinate the flow of communications and information among stakeholders. Exercise considerable initiative and judgment in implementing community school programs, addressing site challenges, and establishing new systems to expand whole child opportunities.
