Position Summary:

• This position is responsible for driving/transporting residents to and from various locations.
• This position is expected to know and support the mission and values of Dominican Oaks, and to apply the Dominican Oaks philosophy while performing daily job tasks.
• In this role, you will be responsible for operating a 19-passenger van to assist residents in attending various outings, including visits to museums, concerts, gardens, factories, and local state parks.
• Additionally, you will drive our Cadillac to provide medical transportation for residents, taking them to appointments such as doctor or dentist visits and to pick up  prescriptions.

Minimum:

• Two (2) years of related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma/GED – High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Current and valid CA Commercial Class B driver’s license with Passenger Endorsement – required if driving a passenger transportation vehicle designed to carry more than 10
  passengers, including driver and First Aid Certification from AHA within 90 days.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively with residents and staff.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to demonstrate basic math skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and demonstrate good judgment and problem solving skills.
