Benefits Expectations

Of the Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito Counties employers who provide medical insurance, almost all reported that they pay half or more of the cost of medical insurance for full-time and part-time Medical Assistants.

Part-Time Employers

• All the benefits paid by 36% of the employers.
• Half or more of the benefits are paid by 46% of the employers.
• Less then half of the benefits paid by 18% of the employers.

Full-Time Employers

• All the benefits paid by 50% of the employers. 
• Half or more of the benefits are paid by 44% of the employers.
• Less then half of the benefits paid by 6% of the employers.

Almost all Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benifo Counties employers provide medical and vacation, and most provide sick leave and retirement benefits to Medical Assistants that work full-time.
